Razaakar star loves beach-facing bungalows

  • Real Estate Guru interviews Annusriya Tripathi

Model-turned actress Annusriya Tripathi set her foot in the Tollywood industry with the film Razaakar and earned recognition for herself. In this backdrop, she set her sights on the Bollywood industry.

On one hand, she focused her attention on the Bollywood industry, and on the other, she owned a house in Hyderabad. As she would describe it, her home is a beautiful, but tiny, space of her own.

However, she has big plans for her life. In a free-wheeling interview with the Real Estate Guru, she shared her ideas about her dream home.

“I bought the house that I live in in Hyderabad 18 months ago. It is a small house suitable for a small family. Moreover, the house has a lot of vacant space. I am enjoying the city vibes that I get by standing on the balcony of the house. The house has minimalistic design and minimalistic interiors. My dream house is where my family is,” she says.

“In whichever house my family lives, that would be my dream house. Film actors would have to undertake long journeys as part of the shoot, thereby not getting enough time to spend time with family. My dream house is the place that I love the most and the place where my fans wait to see me.”

Childhood house with a garden…

I was born and brought up in Chhattisgarh, where my family owned a small bungalow with a garden. I am really missing the garden bungalow. As I was very close to my grandfather, I have several memories of the house. I spent most of my school days with my dadi and dadaji. I lived in the house till I was 16. I have set up nests for birds, a small dog house, and a home for cats.

Minimalistic house…

Compared to grandeur, gold, and shimmer, I prefer minimalistic designs because of the serenity induced by them. The minimalistic design allows you to have your own space and freedom of thought. Having had a hectic schedule, I prefer to meditate at home on my return and enjoy nature. A house fitted with a lot of mirror work and flora makes me feel thrilled. I would prefer to have my coffee while enjoying the chirping sounds of birds in nature. I vote for minimalism and prefer to live in the lap of nature.

Inspiration from Rajasthani art work…

If I were to own the whole lot of money in the world, I would prefer to build an artistic Rajasthani house dating back to the period of the 1940s and 1950s. I derive inspiration from Rajasthani art, which comprises carpets and paintings of gods and goddesses. It also gives off positive vibes. I like the privacy that an individual bungalow offers. Moreover, it gives us the liberty to change the designs as and when needed. I love dogs. The bungalow will have enough space for the dogs to run freely. Moreover, I like beach-facing bungalows. I love to hear the sound made by sea waves when I draw back my window curtains. I feel relaxed to immerse myself in nature.

Must have features of my dream home…

My house should have four main aspects. Since I believe in Vastu, the house should be east-facing. The second most cherished feature would be to have a beautiful puja room for me to meditate and worship God. It should be located in the north-east corner. The third important feature should be to have a walk-in closet. I wish to arrange things in order. The fourth feature would be to have an open kitchen. In my childhood home, the kitchen and dining area were separated. While my mother was cooking, I felt like she was in another room. The problem gets solved with an open kitchen. Therefore, these four aspects are crucial for me. The chanting of Om should always go on in the house. To experience the positive energy, I light incense sticks. In the entrance way, a well-built temple will be placed.

Fond of Kangana Ranaut’s house…

I had the opportunity recently to meet Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut at her home. Her house radiated a lot of positive energy the moment I entered it, which is full of various hues. The house truly resembled that of an artist. The moment I entered the house, I saw a huge poster of the film Pyaza, produced by Devdutt. The corridors were decorated with historic and iconic paintings. I felt inspired by seeing how actors decorate their homes creatively. I have come across big images of deities. My house will also exhibit the same spirit.
