Sales of houses in the first three months of 2024 increased.

The real estate sector is booming in the country. Home sales have increased by 14 percent in the first three months of this year as demand for homes continues to be strong. 1,30,170 units were sold in the January-March quarter of 2024, as against 1,13,775 units last year. House sales increased in Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad but decreased in Delhi, Chennai, and Kolkata. City-wise, Mumbai saw a 24 percent increase of 42,920 units, Pune saw a 15 percent increase of 22,990 houses, Hyderabad saw a 38 percent increase of 19,660 units, and Bengaluru saw a 14 percent increase of 17,790 houses. In Delhi, house sales decreased by 9 percent to 15,650 units; in Kolkata, sales decreased by 9 percent to 5,650 units; and in Chennai, sales decreased by 6 percent to 5,510 units. At the same time, Anarock revealed that house prices across the country have increased by 10 percent to 32 percent.
