The Telangana Consumer Forum has demanded that builders who sell plots, flats, and houses without RERA permission should be fined on the lines of Gujarat and Maharashtra. On Friday, the members of the association met at the RERA office in Masabtank and handed over a petition in this regard to Chairman Satyanarayana. The forum recalled that the state of Gujarat had appointed two tahsildars to collect fines.
It informed that states like UP, Haryana, and Karnataka are similarly collecting penalty. TS RERA has been advised to increase the number of employees in this order. In this programme, Forum President Peetham Pramod Kumar, Vice President Idam Chandrasekhar, GS Naveen Kumar, Secretary D. Prasad, Dronachari, S Ramesh, Ramakrishna and others took part.
