Priorities of home buyers have undergone sea change. Earlier, the buyers gave importance to price and amenities. Afterwards, their priority is shifted to health amenities. In fact, 72 per cent of the customers insist that their venture should have a walking track in the project prior to zeroing in on buying a property. Over 68 per cent insist that there should be greenery in the property, according to Real Estate Guru. Further, it said, the buyers are not interested in having swimming pool. Moreover, 64 per cent of the customers, while searching for properties online, looked for offers, discounts and so on. Buyer’s first look for price of the property, later they check the credibility of the developer. In fact, 77 per cent of the customers searched for credibility of the developer online. Then, comes the project’s design and location, it added.
High demand for property in some cities
The non-residents have been evincing interest to buy houses ranged between Rs 1.5 crore and Rs 2.5 crore in cities like Bengaluru, Pune and Chennai. The second-rung and third-rung cities like Chandigarh, Kochi and Surat get the next priority of the buyers. In fact, 41 per cent of the buyers are buying the second house only to reside in them. 53 per cent of the buyers are looking for homes in higher altitudes. Over 63 per cent of the buyers are interested in buying big houses in view of the work from home and online classes’ culture. But, 68 per cent of the buyers are looking for properties on the outskirts of cities. The buyers are using digital medium at every step like looking for properties, documentation, legal advice and to make payments.
