In the early days of the formation of Telangana state, the then-CM KCR attended the property show organised by Credai Hyderabad. After learning about the real estate problems, he spoke about the steps taken by his government to sustain this sector. Later, they released GOs simultaneously and solved the realty problems. But can the same be expected from the new government?
“If the Congress comes to power, the real estate sector will be developed,” was what the current CM Revanth Reddy, had promised during the elections. He also mentioned that he would turn Hyderabad into a world-class city. He said that they will introduce tunnel bore machine technology, which is popular in western countries, and develop the roads in Hyderabad with that knowledge. Since he also comes from the real estate sector, he said that he would encourage the development of this industry. But, even though it has been two months since the Congress government came to power, he has not conducted a single review of the municipal department so far. It is not clear what decisions will be taken about real estate growth. With this, the real industry in Hyderabad fell into a dilemma.
A few days after the formation of the new government, the Credai Hyderabad team had a courtesy meeting with CM Revanth Reddy. It is known that he told them that he would meet soon. A delegation of CII Telangana went to Davos, where they specially met the CM and congratulated him. However, he did not attend the real estate summit held at the Kakatiya Hotel. IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu attended the programme on behalf of the CM. CM Revanth Reddy could not spare at least half an hour. His presence would’ve assured the growth of the real estate sector among the community, let alone allocating a budget of crores of rupees. Anyway, let’s hope that CM Revanth Reddy will conduct a review meeting soon so that the real estate sector can grow.
