Chaari 111 actress Samyuktha Viswanathan discusses her dream home with REGnews
Actress Samyuktha Viswanathan, who was recently seen in Chaari 111 alongside Vennela Kishore, has impressed the Telugu audience with her performance in the movie and gained the “Telugu ammayi” tag with her stint in the film. While Tollywood knows her as an actress, she is also a poet, a dancer, and an avid reader. Her artistry skills are surely going to reflect in her dream home the day she owns one, and we are sure that day is going to come very soon for the talented champ. Samyuktha is so passionate about her home that she already has a Pinterest board on how the house should be, the colour theme, accessories, and more.
“I actually have a Pinterest board of all the things that I want in my own house and my own room. That’s like planned and kept. I think it is because I grew up watching Barbie movies, so I want a walk-in wardrobe. Like a whole closet. I definitely want a reading corner; there’s a very specific kind of reading corner with a clear-view window where I can look out into the open and just sit back surrounded by a lot of books as I read a lot of books.”
The Modern Love Chennai actress is also a trained dancer, so of course she deserves to have a dance room in her house, and she also aims to have one. She responded, “I was originally trained in ballet. So I want a little dance studio with walls full of floor-length mirrors and a barre, so I can keep practicing my dance. This is the dream I have had since I was very young.”
And one thing that’s been added recently for the actress, which her mom always laughs about, is that she wants a little room for her cat.
“I really like pink. Pink is my favourite colour. I want minimalist but also more like a little dreamy, like a room. I literally have it down on my Pinterest board—the things that I would like in my house. Sometimes, when I’m bored and I need to pick myself up, I go to Pinterest and add these things to my board, like, One day, I will live like this.”
She loves to play board games, and hence there is also going to be a room for it and a place where she can sit and watch movies and cricket with her family. “These are things that, surprisingly, I’ve actually thought very, very deeply into, but nobody’s really asked me. So I’m glad to revisit them.”
Straight from the Pinterest board, she shared, ‘My house would have a lot of glass finishes, and it will have colours that are very light, like pastel green, pink, blue, and other pastels, because I feel like that gives the illusion of having more space. And if there are many dark colours around me, I just am not in a good mental space. So I need, like, light colours.”
She continued, “I’ve always wanted one of those canopy beds and a place that’s very airy. I need a lot of light coming in, so much so that during the day I do not need to turn the light on.”
The actress was truly excited to converse and share her ideas for the house she wants to have, and it clearly shows how passionate she is about every little detail she wants to have in her future home. Just like the way she is, even in her house, she likes to have simple décor items that are not very big or grand. “I might have one or two statement pieces, like a nice painting, but not those that are big and grand, because my taste keeps changing, and at some point I’ll get bored and it’ll go to waste. So I want something that’s more timeless, which is what I would stick with.”
On the location front, she says she wants to have it by the beach. “For me, Chennai will always be my home, where my family is. When I say that it’s not just my mom and dad but my brother, my aunts, my uncles, my cousins, and my grandmother, we are all very close. So, I’d want to be close to them, and Chennai has a beach. I am a beach person.”
Lastly, we asked about the one thing that we would find in her house as we walked in, and she gave a sentimental answer. “I am a very sentimental person. So wherever I travel, I have a few portraits or paintings that will come along with me. Right now there is a customised painting of New York that I got when I went there. So I like to collect memories, and I think those would be some of the things you would find as soon as you entered the house.”
