Home interiors: False ceilings on trend

A false ceiling is very important in the interior design of the house. Their role in enhancing the beauty inside the home is immeasurable. In various designs, the false ceiling plays a role in keeping the house stylish. It also helps cool the house from the heat of the sun. As a result, a false ceiling is one of the things that everyone thinks about right after buying a house.

After installing the false ceiling in the house, design lights, strip lights, and profile lights are installed in it. This doubles the beauty they give to the house. New home buyers are surfing the internet for false ceiling designs to find out which one is best. False ceilings mainly consist of plaster of Paris (POP), gypsum, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) types. Gypsum powder is mixed with water to form two layers of POP sheets. These are used for toys and other designs. It costs up to Rs. 40 per square feet. These were mostly used in the past. Now, new sheets are available on the market. These are not only attractive but also long-lasting. These cost up to Rs. 65 per square feet. Currently, these are mostly used.

PVC sheets are light and hard, so they don’t spoil too soon. Compared to POP and gypsum, they can be easily installed. However, these cost a bit more—about Rs. 120 per square feet. To make the false ceiling more attractive, experts suggest that care should be taken in the selection of colours. The colour of the false ceiling should be lighter than the colour of the walls. It is said that it will look attractive if different combinations of colors are applied to the walls and ceiling instead of the same color.
