Since the Congress government came to power, the things done by corrupt officials are slowly coming to light, one after the other. Recently, the issue involving RERA secretary Balakrishna, who has accumulated illegal assets up to Rs. 250 crore, has become a hot topic in the state. Investigations revealed that Balakrishna used to swiftly clear the files of various pre-launch projects while he was in TS RERA. Apart from them, it has been revealed that Change of Land use have been done in GO 111 areas as well under his leadership. All in all, the impact of Balakrishna’s issue has fallen hard on the TS Rera chief, say the municipal authorities. Hence, it is reported that there are chances of removing him from the post of TS Rera chief. It is reported that the government is making plans to appoint a competent IAS officer instead of a retired IAS officer in order to curb the pre-launches. Moreover, the current TS RERA chairman is known to be a close associate of former CM KCR. KTR has good faith in him, and he spoke highly of him.
Besides, there are talks that the RERA chief did not pay any heed to the orders given by the government regarding some projects after the Congress came to power. Hence, it is being heard that the government is trying to change him from RERA. Whether it will be done now or after the parliamentary elections is yet to be known.
