Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Tuesday said the Musi River rejuvenation works will be carried out in a democratic manner, with public participation at the core of the process. Chairing a review meeting at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat, along with Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, he announced that public opinions will be invited online from March 31 to April 15 via email ID, musirrdc@gmail.com.
He said all suggestions received will be analysed in consultation with officials, and the Musi Cabinet Sub-committee will hold phased interactions with individuals providing valuable inputs. The Deputy Chief Minister also stated that the sub-committee members will be available round the clock to assist officials.
Referring to project progress, he noted that the foundation stone for works at the Omkareshwara Temple along the Musi River was laid on March 28, and directed officials to prepare a comprehensive roadmap covering Phase-1 and Phase-2 of the rejuvenation project.
He instructed departments to coordinate on key aspects including defence land issues, rehabilitation of displaced families, design finalisation, and financial consultations, emphasising that the project is a major priority of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the state Cabinet.
