Mehul H Doshi Takes Charge as CREDAI Chennai President (2026–2028), Unveils ‘Build a Better Chennai’ Vision

REG NEWS: Mehul H Doshi has officially assumed charge as the 10th President of CREDAI Chennai for the 2026–2028 term. The investiture ceremony, held in Chennai, also marked the induction of the new office bearers and executive committee members.

The event was attended by key dignitaries including S Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, who graced the occasion as Chief Guest. M A Mehaboob attended as Guest of Honour. Senior industry leaders such as S Sridharan, Suresh Krishn, and W S Habib were also present.

The newly formed leadership team includes Suman Voora (Secretary), S S Prasad Babu (Treasurer), T S S Krishnan (Vice President), and Viswajith Kumar (Vice President). The executive committee members for the term are P Kruthivas, Aslam Mohamed, Mothish Kumar, P Vijai Kumar, Vimal Lunawath, and Durga Sathish.

Addressing the gathering, Doshi said it is a privilege to lead CREDAI Chennai at a time when the city is poised for strong growth. He emphasized the need for collaboration among all stakeholders to build a transparent and future-ready real estate ecosystem.

Outlining his vision, Doshi introduced the theme “Let’s Build a Better Chennai,” focusing on four key pillars—Government, Developers, Society, and Customers. He stressed that sustainable and inclusive urban development can only be achieved when all stakeholders work in alignment.

Speaking at the event, S Krishnan highlighted Chennai’s potential to drive the next phase of urban growth through real estate. He pointed to the rising demand for Global Capability Centres and the need for high-quality, environmentally compliant office spaces. He also stressed the importance of expanding affordable and rental housing to cater to a broader segment of homebuyers.

Meanwhile, M A Mehaboob underscored CREDAI National’s focus on sustainability, urging developers to take up large-scale reforestation initiatives. He encouraged the adoption of a model where developers plant 30 trees for every home sold, ensuring long-term environmental responsibility.

The ceremony concluded with industry leaders extending their best wishes to the new team, expressing confidence that the new leadership will steer Chennai’s real estate sector towards a more progressive, sustainable, and inclusive future.
